Nikli Haor is situated at Nikli Upazila in Kishoreganj. Nikli Haor is ideal tour place for day tour from Dhaka. Take a day and visit Nikli Haor with very little budget. This Haor is one of the best beautiful Haor in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh. Here you will enjoy a boat ride on the water of Haor, an island-like field in the middle of the water, a small swamp forest “Chatir Char”. All tourists spot an ideal place for a one-day tour.
At the end of the rainy season is the best time to visit Nikli Haor.
How to go:
By bus: You can go Kishoreganj direct by bus. There are some bus services from Dhaka to Kisoreganj. They are- Anik Mahmud Enterprise, Ananna Paribahan etc. Ticket price will be TK.300-180. From Dhaka Sayedabed you can take a bus to Kishoreganj and get off Kaliachapra Sugar Mill & Poolerghat. Poolerghat route is the easiest route. Then from there you can take a Auto & CNG and get off Nikli Haor.
By train: The train from Dhaka to Kishoreganj, you will get off at Sararchar/ Manikkhali Station and take a CNG for Nikli. You can also take the Kishoreganj Express from Dhaka to Gachihata and take an Auto to Nikli Haor.
Where to stay:
There are no hotels in Nikli. If you want to stay the night, you can go to Kishoreganj. There are so many hotels in Kishoreganj. They are- Gangchil Hotel, Sraboni Hotel, Al- Muslim Hotel Hotel Nirala, Hotel River View etc.
If you wish, you can rent a big boat and stay in the boat at night.
Where to eat:
There are so many food hotels in Nikli Upazila. There are- Cafe Deu, Hotel Setu etc. Haor fish dishes are available in these hotels.
Note:
- Nikli Haor is not safe at night. So, if it is not a big group, it is better not to stay in the boat at night.
- If you want to travel from Dhaka in one day, take a very early morning bus.
- Nikli Haor is very crowded on public holidays. So, it is better to go on days other than public holidays.
- The tour cost will be less in this Haor for a group of people.
- Of course, you have to negotiate to rent a boat.
- Keep an umbrella and life jacket with you, it will be useful.
